Join us as we trot through the Texas Renaissance Festival! This will be the weekend of the Highland Fling (Saturday, Nov 22nd). You can camp with us to experience both the festival and the campgrounds, or just attend for the day to experience the festival only. This renaissance festival is the largest in the United States and has been a yearly occurrence for 51 years. Dress for the occasion of the medieval era or arrive in casual attire that’s good for walking around, either is perfect!

For those attending the festival on Saturday, November 22nd:
We will meet just inside the festival entrance when the gates open at 9am. If you are driving in that morning, plan to arrive early! It takes some time to get to the parking lot, then more to walk to the entrance. Different performances happen at different times during the festival. I will email the planned itinerary before the event. The schedule will bring us to different performances, include time for lunch, and we’ll have some downtime for mingling around the shops.

For those camping and attending the festival:
I will be arriving on Friday night at 6pm (Nov 21st) to set up camp. Once I arrive and select the camping location, I will let everyone know where it is. I’m planning to camp in the back of the campgrounds. If you do not wish to camp both nights, you can arrive Saturday morning and set up. You will need to get there early on Saturday because we will be leaving the campground at 8:30am to meet at the festival entrance. After the festival, we will return to enjoy the campgrounds for the remainder of the evening. Sunday morning, we will pack up and head out. Be sure to bring drinks, snacks, and meals needed for camping, along with any necessary camping supplies.

This will be a great time! We will be outside all day, get in plenty of steps, and have a fun camping experience. 🙂
