Come out and join the community on a wildlife-centered hike west of Kalamazoo! Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery is a wildlife preserve that also contains a show pond stocked with a ton of fish! Fish species in the pond include chinook salmon, steelhead trout, northern pike, northern muskellunge, walleye, largemouth bass, a variety of other sunfish and lake sturgeon.

This preserve also has contains a number of wetlands, a perfect habitat for many migrating bird species. Bring your binoculars if you like birding!

This will likely be a slower-paced hike, with plenty of stops along the way at overlooks to search for wildlife. We will be covering between 2.5 and 3 miles over the two hour time slot, with time to look into the show pond. There is also a visitor center here with some exhibits about the fish and the history of fishing, if you're into that. Note that fishing is not allowed outside of specific events.
