Texas Ren Fest

The Texas Renaissance Festival is a sprawling, immersive celebration of medieval life, filled with elaborate costumes, live entertainment, music, food, shopping, games, and plenty of characters straight out of the Renaissance. With themed weekends, jousting, comedy, dancing, fantasy performances, and more than 50 acres to explore, there’s something around every corner. Whether you come dressed as a knight, wench, noble, barbarian, or simply yourself, it’s a fun opportunity to step back in time and spend the day enjoying one of Texas’s most unique festivals.

We’ll meet at the Texas Renaissance Festival on Saturday, November 14th, for Barbarian Weekend! We’ll meet just inside the festival entrance when the gates open at 9:30 AM. If you’re driving in that morning, plan to arrive early—it can take some time to get through the parking area and then walk to the festival entrance. Feel free to dress for the medieval occasion, or simply come in casual attire that’s comfortable for walking around—either is perfect! I’ll put together a schedule of performances and activities for us to see and send it out before the event. You’re welcome to stick with the group throughout the day or head off on your own medieval side quest and use the schedule to find us when you’re ready to reconnect.
