Who can join an LGBTQ Outdoors Adventure trip
Our trips are intended for adults in the LGBTQ+ community. We welcome all members of the LGBTQ+ community, including their straight or cis partners. Our goal is to create a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone.
What kind of accommodations can I expect?
On our trip, you’ll stay in a five person cabin. These cabins are simple, hostel-style accommodations featuring five single beds, bedside lights, and electrical outlets. Participants should be ready to share their space with up to four others. Couples may have the chance to room together if space allows. Each bed comes with a bottom sheet, pillow, and pillowcase, but you’ll need to bring your own warm sleeping bag. Don’t forget to pack a flashlight or headlamp for nighttime trips to the bathroom, which are nice and have hot water and electricity. If you don’t have a sleeping bag, rentals are available to ensure your comfort during the trip.
Do I need to have hiking or outdoors experience to participate?
No, but it can help. Our trips are designed to welcome adventurers of all experience levels, whether it’s your first time exploring the outdoors or you’re a seasoned pro. If you are new to hiking or hiking in mountains, we suggest practicing on a treadmill with an incline – this can help prepare you and make the experience smoother and more fun. However, this is also a great Adventure Trip for people new to the outdoors.
What is included in the cost of the trip
The price includes pick-up and drop-off at Glacier Park International Airport (within a selected pick up time), accommodations, meals (starting with dinner the first night and ending with breakfast the last day), guided activities, gear rentals, and park entry fees. Please note travel to and from Montana is not included.
Do I need to bring my own gear?
A detailed packing list is provided, but minimal gear is needed for this trip. Ideally, you'll want to pack your belongings in a large hiking backpack and bring only minimal camping essentials and attire.
What about meals and dietary restrictions?
Meals are provided during the trip and can be customized to accommodate dietary needs. Please let us know your requirements in advance. You are welcome to provide and prepare your own meals; however, that is definitely not necessary.
Will I feel welcome if attending solo?
Absolutely! Many participants join solo, and our trips foster a sense of community and connection, making it easy to form friendships.
