We’ll go on a 4-mile hike around Stephen F. Austin State Park. This is a great park with a lot of history, and it runs right along the Brazos River. It has five miles of hiking and biking trails where you’ll see tall hardwood trees and pass through an upland swamp. This is also a popular place to spot many different varieties of birds. The park website even has a bird checklist to print if interested. Don’t miss this opportunity to check it out within a queer group from our community! The park has an entry fee of $5 for adults 13 years and older. Children 12 and under are free. You can pay your entry when you arrive, however, the park does recommend buying tickets ahead of time online because they do often reach capacity.
